Our first piece of clothing! This vest has been a long time in the works and was created as an homage / tribute to the number one made in Vancouver cycling equipment company that you allll know ( Rhymes with Poach), which we won't name here as to not infringe on any trademarks owned by big corporate MTB :(
The former owner of this company, Ingrid Doerr, was a true visionary who set the stage for all of us gear makers in the cycling industry. Her contributions to the cycling scene in Vancouver and world wide were massive. What she did and built here in Vancouver has always been a true inspiration to what we do at HMPL, and it's honestly an honour to finally make something as a tribute for all she did.

Just like the ORIGINAL.
NO, this vest is not made with the latest/lightest/breathable/technical fabrics. It's built for a purpose, and that purpose is to wear the living heck out of it. It's made from materials that are tried tested and true, deigned with the intent to provide you with not just warmth and comfort but also protection when you hit the dirt! Seriously, unlike your other riding vest this one will be just fine after a wipe out, and your body will be grateful you were wearing it.
Is it breathable? Nah.
Is it waterproof? Mostly!
Is it durable? Insanely.
Is it warm? YES, but not TOO warm.
Does it look great on and off the bike? Heck yah!
The Homage Vest is a nod to a simpler time in mountain biking. When Freeriding was still FREE, nobody was counting kilometers or chasing KOM's. Just you, your bike, and a seemingly infinite forest to explore.
Simple, well built, everything you want, nothing you don't.

As a general rule the size you want is likely the same as whatever your T-Shirt/Hoodie size is. This will allow for wearing a jacket or warm layer underneath. For a more formed fit size down by one size.
A portion of all Homage Vest proceeds will be going to our NSMBA donation fund, with hopes to eventually have a permanent memorial/trail dedication to Ingrid Doerr put in place on the North Shore!
